I’m an artist working with paper and mixed media. Themes which have emerged over the years in my work:
- Abstract colour works on paper. I used to focus on psychological and spatial qualities of colour in my compositions. I still adore colour, but work to create “conditions” for colours and their effects, perhaps beginning to move from 2D to installation.
- Abstract or narrative mixed media works related to place, land and our relationship to land. In these works I explore form by folding and shaping paper into “objects”. I work in small scale, but would love to move towards larger scale works.
- Installation work, space specific work. Based on themes: creation, destruction, grief, memory, origin.
