Estuary Series is a visual project related to a concept of the Primordial Estuary.

Imagining primordial forces as different forms and colours gives the mind an opportunity to connect to universal concepts. Oppositions such as: warm and cool, soft and sharp, dynamic and placid, etc. excite the abstract imagination without referencing directly to nature or without reducing details from perceived landscape. Experimenting with composition to achieve harmony and unity of vision is central to the cohesiveness and impact of the visual language.

The physical inspiration for the series is the Pipers River Estuary, Northern Tasmania.

Jazz is also an inspiration for the series, as it encapsulates the energy of a new creation.
